David Gala is Working With The Hume Group Again!
A beloved Tacoma real estate veteran returns — and the band is officially back together.

He’s Back!!

If you’ve been in Tacoma for a long time, you might just be familiar with our business partner, David Gala. It would have been difficult to drive around Tacoma and not see this guy’s real estate signs. Many of you worked with David personally, so you know what a unique human he really is, not only in his understanding of the dynamics of real estate, but in his ability to form authentic connections, his energy and his love of life. He is one of a kind and we love him like family. He is basically the third Hume brother!

David took some time off. We called it a sabbatical. The break grew lengthy and led to hearsay, including rather hilarious rumors of his demise!

Well, he is very much alive and he has returned! We couldn’t be happier to put the band back together.

A little background

We teamed up originally in 2007, right before the real estate market took a nosedive. We plowed through some dark days together. At one point the three of us had 60 listings at a time when buyers just weren’t buying! It was hard to even get a showing during that stretch of foreclosures, declining values and the doomsday loop in the medialand. It felt like people would never want houses again. Many who called us to sell were underwater in their mortgage. These conversations were often difficult. All of it was tough, but we found a way through together.

I’m not sure who said that great real estate markets make bad real estate agents and difficult markets forge strong ones, but I think that concept is right. I am proud that the three of us charted a course through all of the adversity and that together we found opportunities.

Welcome back, David. We’ve missed you, and we can’t wait to see the good things you’ll make happen for clients. This is going to be fun.
